While polling a couple of local residents, they play board games and cards to pass the time before the ball drops on TV in Times Square. Others enjoy a night out on the town.
What's your favorite tradition? Who knows, if you have a unique tradition, someone may read about it and think, that would be a fun thing to do for their family and/or friends.
Do you go outside at midnight and bang the pots and pans together and yell "Happy New Years"? I'm not a loud person, but I have done this in the past and felt a bond with my neighbors who do the same thing. Is this a Northern Tradition?

Riding around on Christmas Eve, looking at all the pretty lights that people have taken the time and effort to put up. They are truly magical! Great family time, laughter, joking. Then, hot chocolate later. Of course, the dogs ride with us.
